We planned this wedding twice. Sometimes life has other ideas, and the best thing you can doispay attention.
Originally it was set for a grand estate in Latvia: a lavish ceremony, close friends, designer dresses,a famous headliner, and the bride's beloved horse. We were deep into preparation when, in December, we sensed the plans would shift. By the new year we knew: the couple was expecting their second child. No reason to delay: the whole point was to celebrate life and marke verything they'd been through together. We moved the date forward by two months, found a new venue in central Italy — a historic castle owned by a real princess, surrounded by UNESCO-listed vineyards — and by May, we'd built afairy tale for the family. A vintage car, dishes from chefs who cook for a head of state, the bride's favorite flowers, and a very special headliner.
